In the midst of the worldwide concerns regarding the Coronavirus COVID-19, United Automobile Insurance Company (UAIC) has been monitoring the latest developments and will follow the direction and guidance of public health experts and the Center for Disease Control. The health and safety of our agents and personnel is our top priority.
Preparedness is key; we continue to push efforts to safeguard the continuity of business. Our IT staff has been working diligently and we are confident that services and workflows will be conducted business as-usual. UAIS encourages you to use our remote E-sign feature wherever possible to manage your book of business. We request documents being sent to us be uploaded onto the policy via our website. Please do not fax or email documents. It is paramount that all documents are funneled through our documents upload feature.
United Auto is invoking its Continuity of Operations plan so as to remain responsive to policyholder needs. With the understanding that agent/agencies may take measures surrounding COVID-19 causing disruption in normal business operations, we request that you contact Marketing Manager Danny Perez and notify him of any office closures. In addition we'd like to remind you of the various ways that are available to serve the customer electronically:
Customers may access and manage their policy on our insured portal mypolicy.uaig.net. Please encourage them to set up an online account where they can make a payment, obtain ID cards or other policy documents, and view claims status. If an online account has already been set up, we ask that they review the information for accuracy and verify that we have their current email address for ongoing communication and future updates.
For claims information and/or inquires, our claims department can be reached as usual by dialing 305-940-7299 or toll free at 800-344-2150. They can also be reached by email at customerservice@uaig.net.
In addition to the online portal mentioned above, we also offer the UAIC Mobile App that can be downloaded using any smart phone device. The mobile app offers the same useful features as the online portal.
Lastly, we offer an integrated voice response (IVR) system where they can make a payment or check the status of their policy 24 hours a day 7 days a week by dialing 305-907-2878 or 888-987-8242.
It is our intent to remain transparent. Agents should follow the same procedures as usual for all processes. We are here for you feel free to reach out to us as always.
